R. Kelly will not tour this fall. Rumors began circulating on Thursday (August 23rd) that Kelly, whose child pornography trial is scheduled to begin next month, was eyeing a fall tour with Keyshia Cole. That's what Cole reportedly told MTV News this week, though no confirmed dates had been announced. But the tour would have been cutting it very close to the trial, which begins on September 17th. Kelly's spokesperson released a statement, saying, "Reports that Kelly is planning a concert tour in October are not true. Kelly is currently focused on preparing for his trial and has no definite plans for anything beyond that."
Kelly is charged with 14 counts of child pornography, stemming from a 2002 videotape that allegedly shows him engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl.
Cole will perform the National Anthem at the NFL Opening Kickoff on September 6th in Indianapolis.
