R. Kelly unveiled the first of 10 new chapters of his Trapped In The Closet musical soap opera yesterday (Monday, August 13th) on the Independent Film Channel's Web site. Kelly, who started the series in 2005, portrays a character named Sylvester whose romantic video mishaps made the series popular with fans. MTV.com reports that one episode revolves around Sylvester and his brother-in-law, Twan, driving to a secret location to meet a mystery woman. Also appearing in the series is Randolph, the husband of Rosie the Nosy Neighbor.

IFC will premiere a new chapter each day, culminating in the release of a DVD of all 10 on August 21st.

Kelly's been pretty busy lately. He recently came out with a remix of "Same Girl," featuring T-Pain. Last weekend, he showed up onstage with Ciara during the Chicago stop of the Screamfest 07 Tour. Also, Beanie Sigel has tapped Kelly for his new single, "All Of The Above."

September will also be an interesting month for Kelly, who's expected to finally go to trial for those 2002 child-pornography charges.
