Saxophonist Marion Meadows is back on the smooth jazz charts with the tune "Remember Me," a track from his 2006 Heads Up International release Dressed To Chill.
Meadows is currently on tour with the Norman Brown Summer Storm show, also featuring smooth jazz guitarist Norman Brown, keyboardist Jeff Lorber and singer Peabo Bryson.
Meadows has toured the country on his own and as part of package tours like Guitars And Saxes over the years, and likens road life to that of a gypsy. He explained: "What we do -- and what I do in particular -- is kind of reminiscent of what a gypsy's (laughs) life is all about. You know, we go down the road over and over again, and we're searching for that audience, you know, (laughs). And we're trying to catch up with the musical holy grail, so to speak. But at the same time, I think if you didn't have a little of that in you as an artist, you would never survive in this business."
The next concert date for Summer Storm is July 20th at the Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
