The Police Said To Take Part In Global Warming Concerts

The Police reunion tour was announced on Monday, but there's reportedly one major concert that wasn't revealed. According to foxnews.com the band will headline a Live Aid-style show on July 7th that's tied into former Vice President Al Gore's campaign to educate people about global warming. The first choice for the show is that it take place on The National Mall in Washington, D.C., but if that doesn't work out, organizers are said to be looking at Shea Stadium in New York City, which the Police sold out in 1983, drawing a record crowd of 70,000 fans to the baseball park. Shea Stadium is available that day, as the New York Mets will be playing the second of a three-game series in Houston on July 7th.

There's been no word from the Police yet about their possible involvement.

It's supposed to be one of a series dubbed 07-07-07, which will include seven concerts in seven cities on seven continents, according to the report.
