Was 'The Next Great American Band' Fixed?

Was The Next Great American Band fixed? It's just speculation by unhappy fans, but according to some viewers, the Fox reality series might have been. RollingStone.com reports that some fans of the show think the winning band -- the Clark Brothers -- had an unfair advantage because they were friendly with American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. Some of the members played with Underwood on the Idol Gives Back charity episode, which was filmed before the American Idol spin-off aired. But last month, fiddler Ashley Clark told EW, "I started working for Carrie Underwood a few months after moving to Nashville, and then went on tour with her. ... She's been so busy but is really supportive. Not like she put in a call for us or anything, since that might give us an upper hand."

More than 2.5 million votes were cast for the show's finale.
