On the November 18th episode of The Tyra Banks Show, the former supermodel surprises Isis King, the first transgender contestant on America's Next Top Model, with gender reassignment surgery.
The 22-year-old, who was born Darrell Walls, hadn't undergone the procedure because she couldn't afford the $20,000-plus cost. When Banks presents her with the surgery, King exclaims, "This is not happening! I feel like I'm about to wake up."
Dr. Marci Bowers, who is herself transgender, will not only perform the surgery, but foot the bill.
