Although legendary crooner Tony Bennett was sidelined by a flu that kept him from his appearance on last Wednesday's (April 4th) American Idol and a concert in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday (April 7th), he has fully recovered and will be back at work this week.
"His doctor did feel he should rest for three or four days, so we took that advice, and he's done so, and he'll be back on his regular schedule" his rep, Sylvia Weiner, told Reuters. "It was just a bit of the flu, like we all get. A couple of days rest, and he's fine and raring to go."
Bennett will perform a private show in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday (April 12th), followed by dates in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday (April 13th and 14th).
The 80-year-old singer earned two Grammys this year for his current album, Duets: An American Classic - Tony Bennett.
