Toni Braxton Cancels More Vegas Shows

Toni BraxtonToni Braxton's Las Vegas revue will remain on hold while the Grammy winner continues to recuperate after being hospitalized for chest pain, the Associated Press reports. The Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel Casino, where Toni Braxton: Revealed is in the midst of a two-year run, said the show will remain dark this week, after which Braxton will take advantage of a previously scheduled two-week break. The show is due to resume on May 6th.

Braxton was hospitalized on April 7th and released the next day, but she is due for more medical tests. The singer has previously been treated for pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart.

Braxton has been performing at The Flamingo since 2006. Though she doesn't sing her entire catalog at each performance, she says it's still a great experience for the fans: "It's good. (laughs) It's a good show, and it goes by fast so it doesn't drag. I tried to do as many songs as I could -- I'm very fortunate that I have songs that I can pick from. Like, you know, gosh, I can't do this song because the show will be too long! I can only do pieces of the song, and I'm very fortunate because I wanted to do a cover and I really have no room for a cover."
