Stevie Wonder will kick off a 13-date tour on August 23rd in San Diego -- marking his first trek in more than a decade. The outing, dubbed A Wonder Summer's Night, will wrap September 20th at Boston's Bank of America Pavilion.
He broke the news yesterday (Thursday, August 2nd) in Los Angeles with a 45-minute surprise gig at the Century City headquarters of CAA, playing such hits as "My Cherie Amour" and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours." RollingStone.com reports that during the show, Wonder said, "We have a need for healing in this country. What better way do we have to thank God than to share in song?"
Tickets will go on sale starting Saturday, August 11th at 10am.
