Veteran bassist Stanley Clark will reunite with fellow jazz veterans to re-form the pioneering fusion quartet Return To Forever for a national tour this summer. This will mark the first time in 25 years that the band will perform together.
Clark will join keyboardist Chick Corea, drummer Lenny White, and guitarist Al DiMeola to kick off a tour of North America and Europe this June, with as many as 40 shows scheduled across the U.S.
A complete tour scheduled is expected to be finalized later this month.
In addition, Return To Forever will release a CD of remixed and remastered tunes from the band's catalog of '70s jazz-rock albums, including 1973's Hymn Of The Seventh Galaxy, 1974's Where Have I Known You Before?, and 1976's Romantic Warrior.
Meanwhile, Clarke is promoting his latest CD, The Toys Of Men, an all-original recording about the experience of war.
