Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mack Team Up For 'Soul Men' Comedy
Stars Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac are teaming up for the upcoming comedy Soul Men, playing estranged backup singers in a former doo wop group reuniting to perform a tribute to their late lead singer.
Dreamgirls actress Sharon Leal has joined the cast as the daughter of Jackson's character. Leal also appeared in the box-office champ Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? and last month's feel-good holiday film This Christmas.
Soul Men is being directed by Malcolm D. Lee, whose previous projects include The Best Man and Roll Bounce.
