Grammy-winning R&B/pop singer Peabo Bryson has received a special honor in his hometown of Atlanta. Today (October 2nd) has been proclaimed Peabo Bryson Day by the City Council.
A special proclamation designating Bryson's special day was read last Thursday (September 27th) by Dexter Chambers, Communications Director for the Atlanta City Council at a CD release party celebrating Bryson's brand-new CD Missing You, being released today (October 2nd).
Missing You is the veteran vocalist's first studio recording in eight years, and the 20th album of his career. It's also his first CD since signing to the Peak Records label.
Bryson's first single from the set is titled "Count On Me." The tune has risen to Number 32 in its second week on the national urban AC charts.
