Paul McCartney has denied rumors that he was linked romantically with Christie Brinkley, Renee Zellweger, Rosanna Arquette, and others.
McCartney told Radio Times that his private life has been blown out of proportion by the media, explaining, ""Well, I went on holiday in America and went to concerts -- James Taylor, Tom Petty -- and there were lots of well known people (there). And I stopped by to say 'hi' to Christine Brinkley and, unbeknownst to me, someone took a picture. And suddenly everybody's going, 'Ooooh Paul, I don't know if you should marry her!' I went on holiday. I met a lot of people. I started a lot of rumors. But there's no truth to any of them."
McCartney talked about his current divorce from Heather Mills, and said that both music and his children have helped him through a tough year: "It's been a difficult time. But music is a great healer. Music is the therapy for me. In fact, going through difficulties has only concentrated my desire to make good music. Going through a divorce is a very painful thing... The only solution is to remain dignified. If I don't keep a silence about it, I lose this idea of being dignified. But I've a wonderful baby. She's a great joy to me, as are my elder children, so I'm a lucky man."
When pressed about what he thought a Beatles reunion would be like if John Lennon and George Harrison were still alive, McCartney said, "That's the 'what if' syndrome and I don't go there... but since you're leading me down that flowery path, we could imagine that John would be this fantastic elder statesman, very much in command of his lifestyle, I'd be alongside him singing magnificently; George would be playing like an angel on his guitar, we'd be gelling, sound like nothing anyone's ever heard before with all the power of modern amplification. And, behind us, would be the world's greatest drummer. And it'd be fandabidozi!"

Despite reports that Paul McCartney's divorce proceedings with Heather Mills have reached a deadlock, a source close to the couple told Britain's Daily Mirror that the reported stalemate over the final terms is "ludicrous."
The source claimed that despite last week's mediation not reaching a final agreement, "great progress has been made." The unnamed source went on to say that, "They are the closest they have been for years -- and both delighted the end is now in sight. They are both going to be at (their daughter) Bea's birthday party at the end of October and want to have good news for everyone. Then it should just be a formality of signing the papers the lawyers are preparing."
Last week, it was reported that Mills had been offered $95 million plus an annual income for her and McCartney's daughter providing she signed an air-tight gag order. Mills was said to have countered by saying that she was willing to accept $28 million less ($67 million) as long as the confidentially clause was dropped.
According to several other reports, Mills was not asking for any of McCartney's main properties in Britain.
McCartney and Mills were married on June 11th, 2002. They announced their separation in May 2006.
