Norah Jones is keeping busy this year, contributing new material to a batch of projects due out before the end of the year. She does a version of the song "My Blue Heaven" on the September 25th release of Goin' Home: A Tribute To Fats Domino. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to New Orleans public schools.
She'll also be heard Herbie Hancock's new album, River: The Joni Letters, which features songs written by or influential to Joni Mitchell. That CD arrives on September 25th. Jones contributes a song called "American Anthem" to director Ken Burns' new series on World War II, scheduled to premiere September 23rd on PBS.
You can find Jones performing on the season premiere of Austin City Limits, airing October 6th and 7th on PBS.
She also appears in and contributes music to the film My Blueberry Nights, which stars Jude Law, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman. The song, titled "The Story," will be included on the film's soundtrack.
