Norah Jones told the new British issue of Glamour that she was asked to slim down for her role in the upcoming movie, My Blueberry Nights. She said, "I probably shouldn't say this. I was asked to lose a few pounds. First I got really mad, then I got nervous, thinking, 'Oh no! I'm fat!'" The Smooth Jazz Singer said it was a "horrible thing to hear" but that she understands "the game." She said, "I was just amazed that it really was an issue, and it made me have a lot more sympathy for really skinny actresses." Jones added, "But then, I still think they need to eat a cheeseburger."

 My Blueberry Nights, which costars Jude Law and Natalie Portman, hits theaters in June.

Jones has been dating her boyfriend, bassist Lee Alexander, for seven years.

She just released her third album, called Not Too Late.
