Nicole Richie Granted Leave From Anti-Drinking Program
Nicole Richie has been granted a leave of absence from her court-mandated anti-drinking program. The program suggested that the eight-months pregnant reality star take leave because they were worried for her safety. "They offer that option to anyone with a medical condition of any kind," her rep told People magazine. "She is not receiving special treatment."
Richie has to complete the 18-month program as part of her plea deal in her DUI conviction. At her court date in July she was required to sign up for the program, fined $2,048 and sentenced in July to four days in jail, of which she served 82 minutes due to overcrowding.
