Natalie Cole Released From NY Hospital

Natalie ColeSinger Natalie Cole was released from a New York hospital on October 3rd and is back home recuperating in Los Angeles. The Grammy winner, who suffers from hepatitis C, was hospitalized September 12th.

Cole's rep, Maureen O'Connor, said Friday that Cole has been receiving kidney dialysis that isn't related to her struggle with hepatitis C, a liver disease spread through contact with infected blood.

O'Connor had said that Cole's initial hospitalization last week was related to a bad reaction to the medicine she was taking to combat her illness, combined with a busy promotion schedule for her new CD, Still Unforgettable, which was released September 11th.

The singer has canceled her concert dates until further notice.

Cole announced that she was diagnosed with hepatitis C last July, blaming her condition on drug abuse earlier in her career.
