Movie Opening: 'Stardust'

A star falls from the sky, takes human form as a woman named Yvaine, and journeys through a magical kingdom with the help of a trusty teenager named Tristan. While traveling, the duo encounter many friends and foes including a witch who wants Yvaine's heart, a power-hungry prince, an old king, a unicorn, and a cross-dressing sky pirate. Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, and British actor Charlie Cox star.

Claire Danes describes Stardust: "It's uh, an epic fantasy. It's really funny, but not necessarily a comedy, and really action filled but not necessarily an action movie. Uh, most importantly it centers on real people who are having real relationships with each other and that is the most engaging thing of all."

Michelle Pfeiffer on her scary Stardust make-up: "In the end, the most disturbing for me, that I never really got used to was the sort of half aged half somewhat-aged, being my own face, image. That was really really unsettling."

The following are clips from Stardust:

Tristran tells Victoria he would capture a fallen star for her hand in marriage: (Sienna Miller) "Oh Tristan a shooting star. Ah, beautiful." (Charlie Cox) "Victoria, for your hand in marriage, I'd cross the wall and bring you back that fallen star." (Miller) "You can't cross the wall. Nobody crosses the wall. Now you're just being silly." (Cox) "I'm not being silly. I'd do it."

Captain Shakespeare sells Freddy the Fence captured lightning: (Robert De Niro) "Ten-thousand volts of finest quality grade-A. Seeing how I'm feeling particularly generous today I'll settle for 200." (Ricky Gervais) "Two-hundred? Ok, you're having a laugh." (De Niro) "You're being very rude." (Gervais) "Not any more." (De Niro) "Two-hundred." (Gervais) "One-eighty." (De Niro) "Two-hundred." (Gervais) "That's not negotiation. I'm changing my number. One-eight-five." (De Niro) "You said 200. (Gervais) "If I did you're a ventriloquist."

Captain Shakespeare tells Yvaine he knows that she's a fallen star: (Robert De Niro) "Your emotions give you away Yvaine, you must learn to control it. You've been glowing more brightly everyday and I think you know why." (Claire Danes) "Of course I know why I'm glowing, I'm a star. And what do stars do best?" (De Niro) "Well, it's certainly not the waltz."
