Cuba Gooding Jr. takes over Eddie Murphy's role as a father in the babysitting business in Daddy Day Camp, the sequel to 2003's Daddy Day Care. This time around, pals Charlie and Phil take over a run-down summer camp so that their kids don't have to attend the snooty getaway run by a childhood rival. Plenty of fart jokes, vomit, and crotch kicking ensue in this picture directed by one-time child star, Fred Savage.
Cuba Gooding Jr. describes the Daddy Day Camp plot: "Charlie, my character, and Phil, my partner, have to take our kids to camp and we go to camp and realize that the camp that we grew up going to is being closed down so we decide to buy it."
Director Fred Savage on directing kids in Daddy Day Camp: "I really love working with young actors. I love it. They're so inventive and fearless and they are up for anything. They will try anything once and they never give you the same thing twice. They are just endlessly creative and full of energy."
The following is a clip from Daddy Day Camp:
The first bus load of kids arrives at Charlie and Phil's Driftwood Camp: (Cuba Gooding Jr.) "Ok, this is it. Time to give them a summer they'll never forget. (school bus crashes and explodes) (Paul Rae) "They won't forget that."
