Former Lost star Michelle Rodriguez was released from a California jail on January 9th after serving only 10 percent of the time she was sentenced to for violating the terms of her probation stemming from a DUI and hit-and-run. Although a judge demanded Rodriguez fully serve her 180-day sentence, the Sheriff's department followed standard protocol, which releases inmates after serving 10 percent of their time, due to severe overcrowding.
Law enforcement sources claim that holding Michelle longer than usual would have been unequal treatment.
Rodriguez entered jail on December 24th, 2007 and served 18 days.
