Mariah Carey Launches Remix Contest For Latest Single
Calling all remixers -- Grammy winner Mariah Carey is giving amateurs and professionals alike the chance to remix her third single, "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" via a new social networking site for musicians. Billboard.com reports that starting July 15th, remixers can upload new versions of the tune at Indaba.com, where they must also create their own profile, by August 26th.
Fans and Indaba users can then vote on their 10 favorite remixes, with the winner chosen by three judges. The producer of the winning remix will receive $5,000, be designated as Carey's Number One MySpace friend, and perhaps even see the single commercially released.
"I'll be Lovin' U Long Time" is the third single to be released from Carey's latest CD, E=MC2.
