Liza Minnelli collapsed during a concert performance in Stockholm, Sweden on December 12th and was flown back to the United States early the next day. Minnelli took the stage despite complaining of dizziness beforehand, and made it through a few songs before collapsing off the side of the stage.
A production manager for the Christmas show caught Minnelli and she was taken to a hospital from which she was discharged on December 13th and then taken back to the U.S. for medical treatment. Her spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, addressed the incident, saying, "Liza Minnelli was scheduled to perform the final show in a series of four concerts in Sweden this past week when she became very ill shortly after the show began," she stated. "As soon as there is updated information to send along, it will be posted. Thanks very much for your patience and concern."
