Saxophonist Kirk Whalum is returning as the host of this year's Music City J.A.M. (Jazz And More), which will take place Labor Day weekend, September 1st and 2nd at downtown Nashville's Riverfront Park.

Also performing will be headliner Brian McKnight; Guitars & Saxes featuring Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, Jeff Golub and Tim Bowman; American Idol finalist George Huff; The Gabe Dixon Band; and Grammy nominated recording artist Jaci Velasquez.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Museum of African American Music, Art & Culture and Music City, Inc.

Whalum is also celebrating the release of his new album Roundtrip, which comes out today (August 28th). The new set is a celebration of Whalum's past, present, and future, with new recordings of previously recorded material as well as original fare.
