Kevin Federline's lawyer is reportedly hoping to call in a "secret witness" in the Britney Spears child custody case, scheduled to begin September 17th. According to TMZ.com, the person is a former Spears employee who worked with her post-rehab. But the request by K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, was apparently shot down by the judge who told him that no secret witnesses will be allowed. The witness' rep might try to convince the judge to consider his testimony in the custody dispute.
This is the latest episode in the Spears-Federline custody battle. Spears' former assistant Shannon Funk, bodyguard Damion Shippen, former manager Larry Rudolph and close friend Alli Sims have all been subpoenaed to testify about Spears' parenting.
Kaplan filed papers requesting primary physical custody of the former couple's two sons.
