Kenny G Could Be Heading to China

Kenny GKenny G has plans to possibly move to China for six months. The saxophonist has already announced that he's going to develop a music academy in China. But according to SmoothVibes.com, he's also thinking about moving to Shanghai for six months next year to help kick off the program. Kenny G, who currently resides in California, is no stranger to China. He's visited the country over the last few years and performed at the closing ceremony of China's Special Olympics. He has a batch of shows scheduled in China during late April and early May.

He said, "There's a lot of stuff I want to get done over there. My music's super popular there, and I think I can get a lot accomplished. I want to partner with somebody, so I have to find the right endorsee and the right sponsor." He added, "And maybe I'll do a master class like once every quarter. They'll be teachers there that can teach music the way that I would teach it. I can show them my style of teaching and hopefully help a lot of people get really into music."

Kenny' G's current single, "Sax-O-Loco," appears on his new album, Rhythm & Romance. It debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.
