Multiple Grammy winner John Legend will takes his music into the stratosphere. The Once Again star is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards by performing an in-flight concert for 50 to 60 lucky radio contest winners aboard a Delta flight from New York to Los Angeles on February 7th. The 2008 Grammy Awards will take place February 10th at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
More recently, Legend was in Park City, Utah, over the weekend to perform for a Sundance Film Festival green event. The singer shared tunes from his Get Lifted and Once Again albums January 19th at the Project Greenhouse suite sponsored by Lexus Hybrid Living.
Legend's career has been moving steadily forward since releasing his Grammy-winning debut CD in 2004. This year, Legend is launching his own label, called Home School, with a number of new artists. He explained that it is important to remain confident in one's skills as an artist to succeed: "You have to be confident in your talent and your abilities, and people sometimes criticize people that come off as cocky or whatever. But every artist that makes it this far has to be very confident, because you have to believe that you have to have something special to offer the world."
A live CD by the artist, titled Live From Philadelphia, was released last week exclusively through Target stores.
