ADAM SANDLER WELCOMES SECOND CHILD: Adam Sandler's wife gave birth to the couple's second daughter last week, he announced on November 11th. Sandler's website read, "Jackie and Adam had a beautiful baby girl, Sunny Madeline on November 2. Everyone is happy and healthy." The couple, who have been married since 2003, have another daughter named Sadie who was born in 2006.
MICHELLE WILLIAMS'S FATHER RETURNING TO U.S. TO FACE TAX EVASION CHARGES: Michelle Williams's father agreed to return to the United States on November 11th, after having spent the past two years fighting extradition from Australia. Larry Williams was arrested on tax evasion charges in 2006 while in Australia on a speaking tour. He was freed on bail but the U.S. Internal Revenue Service has wanted to question him about a possible $1.5 million in unpaid taxes. Sydney's Daily Telegraph reported that Williams will fly to Los Angeles on Wednesday (November 12th).
JESSE METCALFE HOSPITALIZED AFTER BALCONY FALL: Jesse Metcalfe was hospitalized in Monaco on November 9th after falling 40 feet from a hotel balcony at an after party for the World Music Awards. A spokesperson for the former Desperate Housewives actor confirmed to PerezHilton.com that Metcalfe was flown to a London hospital on Monday (November 10th), where he was set to receive MRI scans on November 11th. The actor managed to escape the fall without any broken bones.
HELIO CASTRONEVES GETS TRIAL DATE: Former Dancing With the Stars champ Helio Castroneves will stand trial in March on tax evasion charges. On November 10th, a judge set the March 2nd trial date for the race car driver, who will appear in a Miami courtroom to answer charges that he tried to hide $5.5 million from the IRS. Castroneves has pleaded not guilty and is currently free on $10 million bail.
BRAD PITT MANHANDLED BY HIS OWN SECURITY: Brad Pitt was manhandled by his own security guard on Monday (November 10th) night at the screening of his new movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. People magazine reports that the plainclothes guard, who was hired to protect the actor from photographers, grabbed, pushed and spun his client around when the cameras closed in. He told People that the paparazzi was "exceptionally more aggressive than usual, breaking through a security barrier and into a private holding area, until ultimately it was just another day in the life..." In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, the guard said that he was attempting to "remove Mr. Pitt immediately from what could have been a potentially dangerous situation."
LAUREN CONRAD DENIES DIVA REPORT: Lauren Conrad is denying a report in the November 10th New York Post that claimed she had a diva moment at an airport after her name was announced on a loud speaker. On her MySpace blog, The Hills star writes, "Apparently they are reporting that someone watched me throw a fit and start crying because they called my name over the speaker at JFK...Really? While it is a very entertaining story, I just don't think that highly of myself."
