Saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa's new CD is titled Play, and while the title refers to the musical activity of performing, Kashiwa admits that he has a playful, jokester side to his personality. "Yes, it gets so obnoxious, yes. I love to laugh, I love to watch comedians. I love to have fun with the audience on stage, and I enjoy the connection, the laughs you can have with an audience."

Kashiwa is poised to enter the smooth jazz airplay charts with the tune "Forever."

Kashiwa's next gig is with his own Coastal Access Band, playing September 21st and 22nd at the Sheraton Reading in Reading, Pennsylvania.
