Janet Jackson was released from Montreal's Royal Victoria Hospital Monday (September 29th) after she "got suddenly ill during the sound check" for her scheduled concert in the city. A spokeswoman for the hospital said that the pop singer "was discharged after a few hours."
No details have been disclosed about what ailment sent her to the hospital, but Jackson's rep did say that 42-year-old singer was "recuperating."
In the meantime, Jackson has canceled tour stops in Boston on Wednesday (October 1st) and Philadelphia on Thursday (October 2nd). Jackson previously scrapped last weekend's Detroit show, due to what her camp termed "production constraints."
She is scheduled to resume her Rock Witchu tour on Saturday (October 4th) in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Jackson recently parted ways with Island/Def Jam, which released her latest album Discipline. |
