Actor Eddie Murphy and entertainment executive Tracey Edmonds tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tahiti, New Year's Day, their representatives tell People magazine. Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight's "Makings of You" during the sunset ceremony on the beach. The bride wore a custom-designed form-fitting dress by stylist and designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci. Murphy wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief.
Murphy and Edmonds became engaged in July 2007. This would be the second marriage for both.
Murphy, who is 46, was married to Nicole Mitchell for 12 years and had five children with her before their split in 2006. Last year he was briefly engaged to Spice Girl Melanie Brown, who gave birth to a baby proven to be his child last April.
Edmonds, who is 40, was married to Grammy winning singer and songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, with whom she had two sons. The pair announced their divorce in late 2006 after 13 years of marriage.
