Designer Anand Jon Found Guilty Of Sexual Assualt

Celebrity designer Anand Jon, who had appeared on America's Next Top Model and dressed the likes of Janet Jackson and Tyra Banks, was convicted November 13th of raping and sexually assaulting aspiring models as young as 14. The Indian-born designer, 34, faces possible life in prison after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge found him guilty on 16 criminal counts.

The designer, whose full name is Anand Jon Alexander, was acquitted of four charges. The jury could not reach a verdict on three other counts.

Among the counts were charges of rape and sexual battery, lewd conduct on a child, and possession of child pornography. The prosecution says he lured young girls with the promise of modeling jobs and then attacked them.

Jon denies all charges and his legal team says he will appeal. He has been in custody for the last year facing similar charges in New York and Dallas.

The designer will be sentenced January 13th in Los Angeles.
