Veteran sax stylist David Sanborn is back this week with the release of the CD Here And Gone. With more than 20 studio albums under his belt, Sanborn continues to delight fans with his signature emotive style on this tribute to the late Ray Charles and his arranger Hank Crawford.
The new CD is Sanborn's debut on Decca, and features such gems as "St. Louis Blues," "Basin Street Blues," "I've Got News For You," and "Please Send Me Someone To Love."
The nine-track album features guest appearances by Joss Stone, Eric Clapton, and Sam Moore, and was produced by Phil Ramone.
Here And Now is the follow-up to his 2005 release Closer.
