David Benoit Set For 'Charlie Brown Christmas Tour'
Keyboardist David Benoit will hit the road later this year on his own holiday tour featuring music from Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts holiday special performed with orchestras. His A Charlie Brown Christmas Tour will kick off November 21st in Oakland, California.
Recently, Benoit explained: "I finally have gotten my tribute to the Charlie Brown Christmas special show kind of going on the road in December. We're gonna appear with the Montreal Symphony, the Colorado Symphony, and a few other orchestras. And this will be the music of Charlie Brown with a kids' choir and a child soloist, so that's gonna be a lot of fun too."
Meanwhile, the busy composer and conductor is continuing to promote his current CD Heroes, which features versions of some of Benoit's favorite pop and jazz tunes.
