Funnyman David Alan Grier and his wife Christine Y. Kim welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on January 10th, according to People magazine. The baby was delivered at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, the same facility where Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera gave birth the following day.
The couple named their daughter Luisa Danbi Grier-Kim. "Danbi" means "sweet rain" in Korean. The infant weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces at birth.
Grier was an original cast member of the popular sketch comedy show In Living Color in the '90s, and has made numerous film and TV appearances, most recently co-starring on TV in Life With Bonnie and headlining DAG. Kim is a curator at the Studio Museum in Harlem.
The couple wed in July.
