Court To See Alleged R. Kelly Tape At Trial
|
R. Kelly's controversial videotape is going public. The judge in R. Kelly's child pornography case ruled to allow the court to view the controversial tape that allegedly shows him having sex with and urinating on a minor. According to the Chicago Tribune, the judge decided to make the tape public because the girl in question denies she's the female who appears on the tape -- so there is no victim to protect. If the prosecution decides to call the girl as a witness, then he'd consider overturning his decision.
The 40-year-old R&B singer faces child pornography charges for videotaping himself having sex with a girl who prosecutors say was as young as 13. His trial begins September 17th. If convicted, R. Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison.
R. Kelly recently introduced more episodes of his Trapped in the Closet operetta.
