Singer Chante Moore is gearing up for the release of her first album under the Peak Records/Concord Music Group banner. Titled Love The Woman, the CD is set for a May 20th release. Moore gets songwriting and production assistance from jazz producer George Duke on the set, as well as R&B hit makers Warryn Campbell and Raphael Saadiq, according to Billboard.com.
The first single from the album will be "It Ain't Supposed to Be This Way," which will arrive at radio the week of May 12th.
The photogenic Moore debuted on the Silas/MCA label in 1992 with Precious. She has released five solo albums in all, and charting her biggest hit in 1999 with the Number Two R&B and Number Ten pop single "Chante's Got a Man."
Moore is also married to fellow singer Kenny Lattimore, with whom she recorded two duet sets: 2003's Things That Lovers Do and 2006's Uncovered.
