Sheryl Crow is the latest celebrity to launch a secondary career as a fashion designer. The singer singed a deal with Western Glove Works to develop and distribute a denim-based collection named Bootheel Trading. The clothes, which will retail from $20 to $65, will hit stores in fall 2008.

Jessica Simpson has renewed her deal to act as spokesperson for the face-cleanser Proactive. The singer/actress is reportedly receiving $3 million to film a new series of infomercials for the product, which will air around Christmas.

In other Simpson news, although her father Joe Simpson has recently come clean about her nose job, Ashlee Simpson's rep vehemently denied the singer has had Botox injections to smooth her skin, saying, "Ashlee has never had Botox in her life. she credits her eyebrows to her makeup artist who is a whiz with the tweezer." People.com reported that she even credits Proactiv, the skin product shilled by big sister Jessica, for keeping her skin clear. She said, "I know it's very cheesy to say, but the stuff is incredible. If I have a zit, I put that mask on and it's gone."

Julia Roberts was honored on Friday (October 12th) night by American Cinematheque in a black-tie ceremony at the Beverly Hilton for her contribution to film. Just weeks after giving birth to her third child, the breast-feeding mommy took the podium after being toasted by Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis, Shirley MacLaine, Natalie Portman and others, grabbed her chest and joked, "Is there a hungry baby in the house? Come on up!"
