The Oscar-nominee, known for her roles in The Sixth Sense and Little Miss Sunshine, and her husband, musician Dave Galafassi, welcomed a baby girl named Sage Florence Galafassi.

George Clooney has offered to mediate an agreement that would end the months-long Writer's Guild of America strike by setting up a panel that would include Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and other A-list talent like Tom Hanks. According to deadlinehollywooddaily.com, the stars' role would be to sit between the two parties and tell each on all points that, "you have to live with this and get over it."

Although widespread media reports claim The Hills stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port were fired from their jobs at Teen Vogue, Conrad claims it was her idea to part ways with the publication because after two years there, she was "kind of done." Hudgens, now a frequent tabloid fixture since her nude-picture scandal, will play a former stutterer who is romantically involved with the film's lead outcast.

Actress Courtney-Thorne Smith welcomed a baby boy with husband Roger Fishman on January 11th. Jacob Emerson is the first child for the couple, who have been married for just over a year. The According to Jim star joined Nicole Richie and David Allen Grier, who also welcomed children at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday.
