"Save the date" cards for the Los Angeles nuptials have been sent out to friends of the couple and invitations are expected to follow any day.
Contradicting previous reports, Gemma Arterton will not be Daniel Craig's new leading lady in the upcoming untitled James Bond film, producers have announced in a statement. Ukranian actress Olga Kurylenko will play the female lead, and Arterton will play another MI6 agent.
Vivica A. Fox is denying recent reports that she is the accidental star of a sex tape making rounds on the Internet. Fox's attorney said last week that a story of Fox surreptitiously being filmed given oral sex to an Atlanta man was "not true." Radio personality Porche Foxx, who allegedly confirmed news of the sex tape, spoke out to deny her involvement in the rumor. "I never said Vivica Fox made a sex tape. I said 'friend of mine' and 'it's been rumored,'" Foxx said on her Atlanta radio show. "I didn't even mention Vivica Fox's name... I'm not sure how this took off but it did."
Variety is reporting that comedian Marlon Wayans has signed on to star in Paramount's upcoming G.I Joe movie. The sitcom star, who along with his brothers is responsible for the Scary Movie spoof films, is set to play Ripcord, "leader of the military unit," when the cartoon favorite hits theaters.
Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden and his fiance, Australian model Sophie Monk, have reportedly called off their year-long engagement. Sydney's Daily Telegraph reported that Monk recently canceled a planned club appearance due to "family reasons" and has since been seen in her native country alone and looking forlorn. Her father refused to comment on the breakup and directed the Telegraph to reach out to Sophie's manager for comment. Fight Club director David Fincher recently told MTV that he wants to adapt the Brad Pitt film as a musical for the movie's 10-year anniversary. Fight Club, which was released in 1999, is an adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's novel about a secret club that allows men to beat one another nearly to death.
Celine Dion has admitted to occasionally breaking from her wholesome image by dabbling into drugs and alcohol. Although there is no truth to a rumor that David Spade recently suffered a heart attack at his gym, the actor is in fact battling severe bronchitis and a sinus infection. TMZ.com shot down the false claims on January 7th, clarifying that the sick Spade visited the gym for a work out but collapsed from an adverse reaction to his antibiotics. After a brief hospital visit, Spade was released to his home, where he is currently resting and recovering.
Hoping to turn its Early Show into serious competition for Today and Good Morning America, CBS has revamped its morning program. The network announced on January 7th that Miami native Maggie Rodriguez will co-host the syndicated program alongside Harry Smith and Julie Chen. The show is also moving to a brand new studio in Manhattan's General Motors building.
