Jennifer Garner has been named West Virginian of the Year by her hometown newspaper, the Sunday Gazette-Mail. She was selected for "her dedication, hard work and service as an ambassador and role model" for the state. Garner balances career, marriage (to Ben Affleck) and motherhood (to 2-year-old daughter, Violet), all of which the paper deemed worthy of recognition.

David Faustino, best known as Married...with Children brat Bud Bundy, is officially single now that his divorce to actress Andrea Elmer Faustino became final. The two were married for three years, after dating for five. Terms of the divorce are under wraps, but Andrea asked for spousal support, division of property and other assets, as well as attorney's fees.

Model and Project Runway hostess/judge Heidi Klum is being sued by jewelers Van Cleef & Arpels, who allege that she copied the clover leaf design from their Alhambra collection and incorporated it into her own jewelry line. Pascal Mouward, who produces her line, told People magazine, "It's clear that shapes like clovers, hearts, crosses, etc. are universal symbols and are commonly used in jewelry. Heidi has been wearing her pieces on Project Runway and we've seen them become quite popular." Van Cleef & Arpels is only suing her for $25,000 in damages -- which is less than half the value of the $61,000 piece of jewelry in question.

Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel was arrested last week, after being pulled over by police for an outstanding warrant on a drunk driving case. The 26-year-old wasn't drunk at the time of the arrest and was released just a few hours after being booked at the Newport Beach, California jail. She is currently the spokeswoman for NutriSystem after she mentioned on the Tyra Banks Show that she'd lost 20 pounds on the diet program.

A Trekkie is suing Christie's auction house for allowing him to pay $6,000 for a poker visor that was supposedly warn by the android Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation, but which Brent Spiner -- who played Data -- told him was a fake because the actual visor had been sold by the actor himself. The humiliated fan then took a closer look at other items he'd purchased at the auction and realized they were probably not the real deal, either. So the die-hard fan, Ted Moustakis, is now suing for millions of dollars in punitive damages and a refund for each of the items he purchased. "They defrauded collectors, fans, honest people," says his lawyer, Richard Borzouye. "It's negligent misrepresentation." The auction house stands behind the authenticity of the items and says his case has no merit.

Dr. Marcella Fierro, the real life inspiration for best-selling author Patricia Cornwell's chief medical examiner, Dr. Kay Scarpetta, has retired after over 30 years of service to the state of Virginia. At her retirement party, held just down the hall from the morgue, the author herself told the Associated Press, "I would not be where I am today in my life were it not for Dr. Fierro." Fierro says she has little in common with the literary hero, quipping, "Kay is blond, blue-eyed and 115 pounds. I've never been blond, I have brown eyes and I haven't weighed 115 pounds since I was 12."

A six-year-old girl who won four tickets to a Hannah Montana concert in New York after writing in an essay that her "daddy died this year in Iraq," has been proved to be a fake. Her mother, Priscilla Ceballos, later told Dallas' FOX 4 News, "We never said this was a true story. We do essays all the time. My daughter does essays at school all the time. It never did say it had to be true." The award, sponsored by Club Libby Lu, has since been rescinded and given to another winner. Curiously, no one questioned that a six-old-girl could actually write an essay in the first place.

Saturday Night Live alum Jimmy Fallon has tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Nancy Juvonen on Necker Island in the Caribbean, surrounded by close friends and family. Juvonen is Drew Barrymore's best friend and producing partner.

Reality TV and sex tape star Kim Kardashian is engaged to New Orleans Saints footballer Reggie Bush, according to Perezhilton.com. However, she wasn't wearing an engagement ring when she hosted a New Year's Eve party at Mansion in Miami on Monday (December 31st). "One thing I did learn from '07 was to try to keep it as private as possible," she told OK! magazine, "So I'm trying to hold that close to my heart but I'm here with everybody that I love."
