Britney Spears Pulls Out of Potential Rolling Stone Cover Shoot
Britney Spears pulled out of a potential Rolling Stone cover shoot -- over fears that the photographs would land on the magazine's sister publication, Us Weekly. Negotiations between the troubled pop star and Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner broke down because he refused to guarantee that the shots would land on the respected music magazine.
Spears' hesitations were founded, considering that last year Nick Lachey posed for Wenner under the guise of a Rolling Stone cover, but ended up on the weekly tabloid. "It was going to be a good platform for her music to be taken seriously because it had been so long. But she refused to get screwed by Wenner," a source told the New York Post. "They kept negotiating and it got nasty."
Spears has reportedly contacted Blender magazine and is working out a deal for a cover shoot with them.
