A portion of the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, was recently shot at the Bregenz Festival Hall in Bregenz, Germany. Now locals are saying goodbye to James Bond and hello to Candy Dulfer. And Rocco Ventrella. And Jaared. And Marion Meadows. And Peter White.
While fast-moving action scenes on the roof of the festival hall have rounded off the shooting schedule for the highly anticipated installment of the special agent-saga, folks in Bregenz have something entirely different and just as exciting to anticipate.
Preparations for the 1st Annual Smooth Jazz Festival, which takes place on the 20th and 30th of August, are in full swing. With stages set for yet another world premiere in the studio theatre in Bregenz, this is one mission that is anything but secret.
Smooth jazz is still fairly unknown in Germany, at least as a concept, thus the very first mission is to educate listeners as to what is categorized as Smooth Jazz. To do so the organizers of this event could not have assembled a better roster for their first go at such a festival.
The line-up sparkles with highlights: on the first night the Italian band Gabin will hit the stage followed by guitarist Chieli Minucci, saxophonist Marion Meadows, and the pianist Alex Bugnon. De Phazz is set to close the first-night of live acts, and will set the mood for the following after-party.
The second night will open with De-Phazz-singer Pat Appleton and her band, followed by Peter White, Jared, Rocco Ventrella and Candy Dulfer.
