In a new interview, Brad Pitt divulged what was going on in his head during the much-discussed period of time between the end of his marriage to Jennifer Aniston and the beginning of his relationship with Angelina Jolie. The actor tells V magazine that he maintains a "deep friendship" with his ex-wife and that he didn't act on an attraction to Jolie until after his marriage had ended.
Of ending his relationship with Aniston, Pitt said, "The most important thing about that time was for Jen and me to figure out if -- how do I put it? -- if we didn't want to go on without any outside influence. Is this where we got off? Have we taken this as far as we wanted to go? Those questions had to be answered before an attraction to Angie could be answered."
Responding to the question of whether he and Angelina Jolie were ready for a fifth child, he recently told an Italian TV station at the Venice Film Festival, "Yeah, we're ready...Having kids is the most fun I've had and also the biggest pain... I've ever experienced. I love it and can't recommend it any more highly -- although sleep is nonexistent."
