Smooth Jazz singer Bobby Caldwell has a new CD, Live At The Blue Note Tokyo, but you can only get it online or at one of his live shows. Caldwell is huge in Japan, where he tours annually, and the set showcases one of his many hot performances in that country. Among the 10 songs are standards including "Beyond the Sea" and "Come Rain or Come Shine."

Although he's still actively recording, he says he still probably gets the most airplay for his 1978 breakout hit "What You Won't Do For Love." Caldwell says that while the song has been a boon to his career and he's grateful for the airplay, he'd like to be known for his entire body of work --which includes twelve albums since his debut. He laughingly told us:
"I'm blessed because of 'What You Won't Do For Love.' That was a blessing, I worked long and hard for that moment. And it's even more of a blessing -- it's seen over seventy-five cover versions and that it still is a very heavy recurrent song across the board. Do I want it to be on my tombstone? No. I wouldn't want it on my tombstone: Here lies Bobby. He did the best version of 'What You Won't Do For Love.'"
