Bobby Brown appeared in an Orange County, California courtroom on Friday (August 31st) to ask a judge to overturn the judgment granting ex-wife Whitney Houston sole custody of their daughter, 14-year-old Bobbi Kristina.
The former New Edition star had filed papers, which were made public last week, asserting that he has not seen his daughter in months because of Houston's attempts to "eliminate me from Bobbi Kris' life" since their divorce became final earlier this year.
"I have not seen or spoken to my daughter since early June and I have no prospect of speaking to her or seeing her anytime soon due to Whitney's actions," Brown stated in his filing.
Houston countered with a court document of her own, claiming that Brown had been "almost totally uninvolved in taking care of (Bobbi Kristina)."
On Friday, the judge called for both Brown and Houston to give depositions outlining their positions in the custody battle. Brown will be deposed at the same Orange County courthouse, while Houston will be allowed to tape hers from her home in Atlanta.
The judge also set a new court date of October 22nd in the case.
Details of Brown and Houston's pre-nuptial agreement, signed in 1992 in New Jersey, were revealed last week. The document states: "The parties intend that they shall not share together in the ownership of their respective Separate Property." Further, Brown waived his right to spousal support.
