Keyboardist Bob Baldwin, who already broadcasts or consults on several stations in the U.S. and in Bermuda, will now be the music director consultant for Atlanta's WCLK radio station on a part-time basis. Baldwin replaces Bill Clark, who left the station in 2006.
"I'm flattered that yet another station has entrusted me in their jazzy radio format in order for me to create positive change and increase listenership," stated Baldwin, president of City Sketches, Inc.
While Baldwin is up for the challenge, he has also issued a call to the smooth jazz community for support. "I need the assistance of all of my constituents in the field of jazz immediately. We are in need of quality music, both current and archived, on a regular basis. In other words, put us on your mailing list!"
Meanwhile, Baldwin is preparing to release a new DVD, titled Memoirs From The Hudson, this spring.
