Yesterday (September 30th) marked the 48th birthday of smooth jazz vocalist Basia. The Polish-born singer has been keeping a low profile, living a quiet life in London; her last solo release was The Sweetest Illusion in 1994. But she is currently in the studio at work on a brand new project for next year. According to the fansite basiaweb.com, thirteen songs are in the can and the final mixing is scheduled for November. A spring 2008 release date is being targeted with a tour to follow.
As she has on her past projects, Basia is working with guitarist Danny White, brother of smooth jazz artist Peter White.
