Singer, songwriter, and producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds has announced that he'll be hitting the road again to promote his 2007 album Playlist. The set finds the Grammy winner re-interpreting pop tunes from the '70s and '80s, including James Taylor's "Fire And Rain," which is a current hit for Babyface. The tour will take the singer through 13 cities.
Babyface says that he's considering recording other projects in the vein of Playlist, where he will interpret music from genres that have influenced him as an artist. He explained: "This kind of record, if it does well I'd like to do another version of it, and other things as well that influence me, that may deal as well with some R&B things. But more writing, always writing along with things, but it's kind of refocusing and just being a real musician. That's what I love about this record most is that I think it's a very musical record, and the musicianship is showing. And that's a little more important to me right now. "
