Book retailer Amazon.com, which last week paid $4 million for the only volume available for purchase of J.K. Rowling's The Tales of Beedle the Bard, is publishing images and reviews of the book on its website. Amazon sums up the rare, handwritten and illustrated volume of fairy tales with one word: "Whoa." Editors who have read the work are currently taking questions regarding the tales on Amazon's website.
Amazon.com bought The Tales of Beedle the Bard for 40 times its expected price. It is the highest price ever achieved at auction for a modern literary manuscript.
The book, a collection of wizardry tales, was mentioned in the last Potter book as having been left to Harry's friend Hermione by the Hogwarts headmaster, Dumbledore.
All proceeds from the sale will go to The Children's Voice, a charity Rowling co-founded in 2005.
