Jonah Hill -- the Chris Penn look-alike starring in the new teen comedy Superbad -- has a record. He was busted by Los Angeles cops last year for urinating behind the theater where the Jimmy Kimmel Show is taped in Hollywood. The Smoking Gun reports that Hill was booked on the misdemeanor charge and later pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of an infraction.
Hill has stayed out of trouble since that minor brush with the law but the same can't be said for his character Seth in Superbad. Seth is a trash-talking loudmouth who convinces his underage friends to buy alcohol for a party thrown by his high school crush. They run into cops and some rough townies during their quest and Seth never stops with his curse-filled rants.
Hill got the role as the obnoxious teen partly because he was friends with Superbad filmmakers and partly because he could still pull off playing a 17-year-old when he was really in his early twenties. Hill said Superbad writer Seth Rogan was also considered for the part but looked too old compared to co-star Michael Cera: "They just couldn't find anyone for the lead of the movie and it was a hard part to fill because they had already found Michael. Basically, we realized that Seth has aged way worse than I have and I was able to look like I was 17 years old or something, 18. So I shaved and made a tape with Seth and that day I was in the movie."
